Our New Treadmill

I know I said that we could be outside year round, and we can, but the rain and dark nights are getting in the way of our running, so we purchased a treadmill. Al did some research and we ordered the one we thought was the best for us. When it was delivered, I had them put it in the garage and then we got to work. When I say we, I mainly mean Al, I helped when I could.
The funniest part is we got it all put together in the garage and then we realized that we couldn't fit it through the door. Yes we were a bit surprised as well, but all in all it was fine, we just had to take the front off and then we managed to get it inside, but wow, that thing is heavy!
We had all these great ideas that it could fold up and we could store it in the garage when people came over. Well as you can see from the pictures, it now has a permanent spot in our little "sitting room", it was a bit bigger than we, more me, had figured, so we can still fold it up and push it back if we need to, but we think it has found a nice place in our house.
Here Al is working out on the treadmill for the first time. He said it works great!

Angie's 1st Snowboarding Experience!

Al and I decided to get up early on Saturday and head up to Tahoe for the day. Since I knew I wouldn't be able to snowboard 2 days in a row:) We got on the road around 6:10am and got to Alpine Meadows around 8:45, not a bad drive. Below are a few pictures from our drive. We drove to Donner Summitt, elevation 7239, and below is a picture of Donner Lake, as you can see we are above the clouds covering the lake!

Here we are again driving into the clouds.

We finally got my rentals and our lift tickets and were set to hit the first run. I expected to fall alot, so I was ready:)

Al and I had a wonderful day, the weather warmed up to about 50 degrees, we were actually hot a few times. I was doing pretty good, but then after lunch I took one last spill that did me in, luckily I didn't break anything, just some bruising:) So while I returned my board and boots, Al went on a tougher run since I was not getting off the green runs:)

This picture is of the moutain while I enjoyed the weather and Al enjoyed a tougher run! We are so lucky to be this close to Tahoe and will be going again when we can!
