Sand, more Sand and Mommy's birthday

Well we put the finishing touches on the playground. We put railroad ties all the way around it and then we filled it with sand. Ok let's be honest Al and Adam did most of the work, Syd and I helped when we could:) As you can see the dump truck was able to fit through the gates in the back fence, thank goodness, otherwise that would have been a lot of sand to move from the front yard to the back! We had one huge pile and Syd loved it, she had so much fun that first night that she cried when it was time to come in:) She loves playing out there, so thanks to Uncle Adam and Daddy for all the hard work!

We put Gillian in the Johnny Jump this week and she hasn't really gotten the idea to jump but she likes it, something new:) We also fed her rice cereal last week, so cute, she wasn't too sure about it, but is doing better this week.

It was my birthday, 33, wow, crazy, so we celebrated at home and Al picked up an ice cream cake which was great especially with this hot hot weather we have been having!

Father's Day and Gilly is 4 months Old

June 19th was a big day here in OK, it was Father's day and Gillian's 4 Month Birthday! We had a good day, just stayed home and tried to stay cool, it has been very hot here in OK! We had Gilly's 4 month check up today and here are her stats:

16lbs 15 oz - 100% for weight

25 1/2 inches - 98% for height

Needless to say she is a big girl and we love it. She had to get shots today and of course didn't like them but she took them like a champ and big Sister Syd was right there and was very concerned for her too, I think inside she was just glad it wasn't her getting them:)

Gilly is still just a happy and great baby for us, she loves to watch what her big sister is doing and really likes to grab toys and puts everything in her mouth. We will be starting rice cereal tomorrow, I think she is going to love it!!

Syd wore this same outfit at 4 months but on Gilly it is a bit tight in the arms and legs, too funny. We hope you enjoy the pictures!

Here are a few pictures of the girls in the brown hats my parents got them. It was hard to get them both to look at us at the same time! The other pic is from when the girls got all dressed up to go to a work party for Daddy's work.

We drove down to Oklahoma City to see Sarah, Adam, Sam and Al's mom and Charlie were in town as well. As you can see we had a great time. The kids loved swinging in the back and we took Syd over to the pool and she had a blast, it was 105 or something so who wouldn't love the pool! It was kinda hard to get a picture of all of them together, but we did our best!

Growing Girls

Well we have been enjoying what time we can outside, it is hot here in OK!! First off we got two new trees to plant and as you can see Syd is "helping" Dad, she even had to get her own shovel and was trying to use her foot on it like Dad was on his, too funny.

We celebrated Al's 33rd birthday over Memorial Day weekend!

Gillian now likes to sit in the high chair while we eat!

Wow 3 months has gone by super fast! Here are her unofficial stats at 3 months

14.8 lbs (yes she is a healthy eater!)

25 inches

She is a great baby, she likes to sleep which is great for us and loves to lay on her back and watch her mobile or anyone that will talk to her! She loves to talk back too, it is so cute. She doesn't even cry when she wakes up, she usually is just talking in her crib, or she manages to kick her mobile on, then she is super happy!

We also did a family picture after we had her 3 month pics done, so I put a couple of those in here as well.

We also did a picture of the two girls, but big sister Syd was not really into the pics that day, we will try again later:)

May 14th Gillian's Baptism

Gillian's Baptism

We had her baptized at Lord of Life Church where we got married and also where Syd was baptized. She wore the dress that both Syd and I wore so that makes it more special.

I don't have any digital pics of the actual baptism yet, my sister has them and is getting them to me, but here are a few from the house before we left.

Gillian's God Parents are: Derek and Melanie Hendrickson and Andrea and Mike Miller

Andrea and Mike are in Germany so they were unable to attend.

Derek and Mel attended and they surprised us and brought Linc, this was his first official outing ever and it was so nice that he could be there with everyone.

There is one picture at the end with Grandma and Grandpa and all the grandkids!

During the actual baptism we didn't have a lot of extra hands, so the 2 2 yr olds were running wild, but having fun and as the Pastor said at the end, "all we will remember is that Gillian you were a good girl", it was cute. She didn't even cry when he put the water on her head, she just looked at Dad, like what is going on!

MN Visit - May 10-14

Well we decided to drive to MN, overnight, so the girls could sleep while Al drove and I tried to sleep if I could, not easy to do! Anyway the drive went great, the girls woke up when we stopped but back to sleep as soon as we were on the road again!
