Happy Easter!

I was able to go home for Easter weekend! First thing Chase, mom and I did - color Easter Eggs!Rachel brought the twins to see me. Cole and Zach are so big and are doing really well.

Then Jerah and I went to visit Laura, Chris and Kacie. Kacie has gotten so big and so much fun.

Kacie was so happy, she even let me feed her.
Jake, Sara and Emma stopped out at the house to see me. Emma loved all the toys at the house and was very happy!
Emma really liked this one duck that sang Old McDonald Had a Farm!
On Easter Anna was at her parents house so she stopped over as well. It was great to see her.
Happy Easter and Happy 32nd Birthday Derek!
Chase on the Easter Egg hunt! His hands are full of chocolate eggs.
He found 2 more
What, there is one on the moose's head?!?! Uncle Derek had to help with that one.

It was time for Birthday cake and Chase helped Uncle Derek blow out the candles. He did such a great job, Uncle Derek gave him five!
It was great to be home, always nice to get home and see my friends and family. I wasn't able to see all of my friends, it was a short trip! I guess I will just have to get home again soon.

Reno and Tahoe 2-29 and 3-1

Al and I headed to Reno Friday night, we had a great time. We decided to try our hand at Black Jack and we were doing pretty good for awhile, but then of course we were out of chips:)
Here you can see me standing in front of the Reno sign!
On Saturday we headed to Squaw Valley for some snowboarding and skiing.

Al is getting strapped into his board, he is ready! I decided to ski this time, since I wanted to get to the top of the mountain:)

Al and I at the top of Squaw Peak, elevation 8900, we were very high! Of course to get down we had to go down a black diamond, I wasn't too excited about that since the black diamond hills (notice that I said hill instead of mountain) in MN are a bit different than the ones in CA! I was up for the challenge, after a bit of planning my attack on the mountain, I did make it down without a fall so that was good. Below you can see me making my way down the black diamond!

Here is a picture looking down at Squaw Valley from Squaw Peak, a lot of beautiful sights!

Our 1st Anniversary - 2-17-08

Al and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary on Sunday, February 17th. How many of you were cold in MN at our wedding? Well let's just say that I am glad we got married in 2007 rather than 2008, lately in MN it has been really cold, meaning a high of -10, yes that would have been cold! Here we are holding the top of our wedding cake. We didn't eat any yet since we were going out to dinner.
We went to dinner at The Salt House in San Francisco and had a nice dinner. We couldn't have asked for a better day! After dinner we headed home and finally got to have some of our cake, it was great, tasted just like it did a year ago!

Point Reyes National Seashore, 2-16-08

Point Reyes National Seashore
Al and I set out for a day of hiking, and wildlife watching. We started at Drake's Beach. As you can see there are some great views.
What beautiful shoreline!
Here I am standing on one of the many rocks that were covered in seaweed or something:)
We took a bus from Drake's Beach to The Lighthouse. They were Whale Watching that day and saw a whale 45 min before we got there, unfortunately we were not able to see one as well, but it was great. We walked all 30 stories down to the lighthouse and then had to walk back up the 30 stories, it was a great workout!
Here is a picture of Al and I with the coast in the background.
After the Lighthouse, we went to Chimney Rock to see the Elephant Seals. Kinda hard to see without blowing this picture up, but there are about 250 Elephant Seals here. They come here each year to have their babies and rest. Al and I had a great time, the weather was wonderful!

I went to Boise to visit Cari, Torri, Colton, McCall, Keegan and Katti, we had a great time. I got in late Friday night, so first thing Saturday morning, we had a Ping Pong tournament. McCall won! We had fun and hopefully we can play again soon.

After Ping Pong, we had 2 Hockey games to go to. First one was McCall and Colton's game. They ended in a tie, below you can see McCall (#6).
After McCall's game we had Colton's JV Hockey Game to watch. Colton had a great game and received the game puck, it was great. Colton is #25.
