26 Weeks - Nov 15th

Here I am at 26 weeks, still getting bigger!

Baby Shower - 11-8-08

I went back to MN on Friday, November 7th so I could go to my Baby Shower on the 8th. The shower was held at the Hamel Community Center and my mom, sister and sister-in-law did a great job decorating.

Here is a picture of the valance for the babies room, the 3 animal pictures are wall hangings for the baby room and the rest are all prizes for the Bingo game.

Here is one of the 6 centerpieces. The baskets match the bedding and since my bedding has animals, each basket had an animal, a bib, a book and a bottle, some had frames as well and other fun stuff.

Pregnant sisters - hard to really see Jess's belly in the shirt she is wearing but we are only 3 weeks apart.

Opening gifts, this one was a very special gift, it was from my parents and it was a little airplane that said "Grandma and Grandpa Express", it was carrying a little flag behind it that said "Destination: Hercules, CA, Date: February 16, 2009 to meet their newest grandchild" We are very lucky that will come all the way to CA to be with us.

Just a group shot of everyone sitting down enjoying their lunch.

Of course I had to take a picture with the little helper. Chase was very helpful that day, he laid out all the presents for the dice game and was very good. He is getting so big, he almost comes up to my belly button!

High School Friends from Minnesota together in California

October 9 - October 13
My high school friends, Anna, Rachel and Kelly came out to visit. They arrived Thursday night and then on Friday, I had to go to work, but they spent the day in the city.

Then on Saturday we got up and went to Napa. Although three of us are pregnant we still wanted to go, at least Rachel could enjoy the wine!We started out at Flora Springs, they have a new tasting room and deck that you can relax on. It was great. Here is Al and I on the deck, overlooking the Flora Springs Vineyards

Here we are in the new tasting room. Rachel was able to taste for all of us!

Then we went up to the "Old Faithful Geyser of California" We got there just in time to get out lunch and then the Geyser went off, it was great. We were able to see it twice. Then we saw the few animals they had there as well. We had a beautiful day.

After we were done eating, we headed to the Petrified Forest, it is the largest Petrified Forest and it was really neat. Below you see Al and I sitting on a huge log, petrified log!

Anna, me, Rachel and Kelly. You can't see it here, but we were some mean volleyball players when we were in high school:)

On Sunday we headed to The Redwoods. We had a great time and saw a lot of big trees as well as some deer.

Here we decided to climb into the Redwoods a little to get a good picture.

Then we got back and relaxed at the house, again we had another wonderful day. I made lasagna and we were able to chat and catch up more. The girls had to leave on Monday morning, so we enjoyed talking the rest of the night.

October 4th, Half Moon Bay, CA

Al and I went down to Half Moon Bay for the day. We had a good time, we found a pumpkin patch to get a few pumpkins, then we also were able to see some awesome waves!
Then it was time to meet up with Cousin Tammy, Steve and Finn, we had a great time seeing them. They were only in town for a few days, and we were so glad that they took the time to meet up with us.
Here is little Finn, just over a year old!
Steve, Tammy, Finn, Ang and Al
Sadly they had to get little Finn back to the hotel to go to sleep so they could get on the road the next day, but it was great to see them.
