Official 2 month Info from the Doctor's office

So yesterday Syd had her 2 month check up and she is:
24 inches long and

12 pounds

She also got her first round of shots and that was so sad to see her cry so much, but I know that she won't remember it, just Al and I will! Everything else looks great, she is growing and we don't go back to the doctor until she is 4 months old.

My First Weekend of Hiking

We went hiking this weekend near the house and had a great time. The weather was great, a slight breeze yet sunny and beautiful. Here is a picture of Sydney before we went on our hike, she was pretty excited.

On Saturday we went and checked out the park by the house and so we had the stroller, which worked ok, but problaby would have been better off without it. As you can see we were hiking and came across some cows, it was funny. There was one cow that made us aware that he was there, he let Sydney hear her first moo, which she was sleeping for:)

On Sunday we headed back to the park and tried a new trail and also had Syd in the Baby Bjorn, a bit easier. Here is antoehr shot of the Carquinez Bridge and the C&H Sugar Factory.

We had a great time and Syd did too, she slept the whole time!

2 Months Old

Well Sydney is 2 Months old today, her check up is on Monday so we will have official information then, but according to our measurements, she is:
12.2 pounds
22.75 inches long
She is getting bigger everyday and it is so fun to see how much she is changing and interacting with us. She is not sleeping through the night yet but we are hoping soon:) She is really starting to have a personality. She has found her voice more and we have figured out what a few of her cries mean, like when she is wet and wants to be changed, and when she is hungry - she has this snort that means "feed me now"! Of course when we see her smile we know that she is happy and she smiles a lot!

Enjoying Time with Mom and Dad

Well since Daddy got home I have enjoyed spending lots of time with both Mommy and Daddy! Also it has been really hot here in CA, so I have been able to hang out in just my onesie and some fun dresses! Today the weather is back to normal, maybe even a little cooler, but that is fine, I still enjoy being outside.

Since it was so hot, I took a bath and I like baths all the time but it was even better since it was so warm.

Here I am on my first trip to Napa. Mommy had to go and pick up some wine and I slept the whole time, but I had to have my picture taken by the vines, as you can see they are starting to bloom:)

6 Week Pictures

Here are my 6 week pictures that I had done on April 9th, 2009. I had a lot of fun, didn't smile for any of them, but hey I was only 6 weeks old!

Beautiful CA Day

Well Sydney is now 7 weeks old (on Thursday the 16th) and changing everyday. She has so many facial expressions it is so funny. She loves her activity gym, loves it when mommy kisses her face, she loves taking baths (except for the getting out part), she is so happy when she gets up in the morning she just smiles the whole time I am changing her, she loves going for walks (mainly the stroller ride), she found her hand the other day when I went to get her from her crib and much more. Sydney is such a joy in our life and we can't wait for everyone to meet her!

Well maybe she needs to grow into her shades a little, but I am sure they will fit soon enough.

Here is a good smile from Sydney - she loves it when I go to kiss her face, she just smiles and coos.

Here is another one, she was very smiley for me yesterday! I think she knew that Daddy was coming home today, finally!

Sydney wanted to show everyone her cute outfit she has on today! With all the pink she is for sure 100% girl!

I love my activity gym, here is an almost smile, mom wasn't fast enough to catch it and with all the stuff in the way, kinda hard. I love to sit under the gym and watch the lights and hear the music, I just smile and laugh at it.

Happy Easter

Sydney wanted to say HAPPY EASTER to everyone. We hope you have a wonderful day. Here I am in a dress my friend Kayla sent to me, it came with a hat but it is a little big for me right now. I can't wait until it gets warmer and I can wear this outside.

The Easter bunny stopped at the house and left me some great things, a new book, a new shirt, a Little Mermaid dish set, a bucket with a shovel and more. Look at me in my cute Bunny sleeper that Grandma and Grandpa Hendrickson got me. It isn't going to fit much longer.

6 Weeks Old

Well I am 6 weeks old today and I got to have my picture taken professional today, won't get those back until later this month, but they turned out pretty good.
I know am 22.5 inches long and 11 pounds! Growing everyday.

I can't wait to come to MN and meet all my friends there, it is coming up soon!

April Showers - 4.7.09

Well it rained in CA today so mom and I couldn't get out for a walk, hopefully tomorrow we will be able to. Here are a few pictures of me and also of my cousins in MN.

5 Weeks Old - April 2nd

Well guess who is 5 weeks old! For my 5 week birthday Mom put me in this really cute dress and sweater, I even wore tights and the same shoes that my Auntie Jessie and Mommy wore!

I know weight 11 pounds and I am 22.25 inches long. I am getting bigger and bigger, Mommy can't believe what clothes I can wear and that she needs to buy me bigger sleepers. So much for those 3 month sleepers, I can't stretch out in those anymore, so 6 months it is:)

Today Mommy and I went to her work to show me off, it was fun and we had a great time!
Here I am with just the dress on, no sweater, we had to wear the sweater outside but I had to show you how cute this dress is!

Grandma Roper and Charlie got here on the 31st and we have been having a good time. Here is a group shot of all of us.
